A Note From Max Alvis, Jr.
After more than 35 years in the financial services industry, I’ve made the decision to retire from 6 Degrees Wealth.
As I reflect on my career, I’m incredibly grateful for the many people who have trusted me to be part of their lives. It has been a privilege to work alongside families and individuals through important decisions, milestones and transitions. Financial planning has always been about more than numbers to me. It has been about relationships, listening closely, understanding what matters most and helping people move forward with confidence.
I’m also thankful for the opportunity this career has given me to serve the Lufkin community. Whether through local organizations, my church or other causes close to my heart, being involved in this community has been an important part of both my personal and professional life.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the clients, colleagues, friends and family who have supported me along the way. The relationships built over the years are what I will value most, and I am especially grateful for the trust you have placed in our team and in me.
As I step into retirement, I want you to know that you will continue to be in very good hands. Will, Alexis and Viry have each played an important role in caring for our clients and building the relationships that make 6 Degrees Wealth what it is today. I have tremendous confidence in them and in their commitment to providing the personal attention, thoughtful guidance and service you have come to expect. While my role is changing, the care and support you receive from 6 Degrees Wealth will not.
For me, retirement means having a little more time for the people and pursuits that matter most. I’m looking forward to spending more time with my wife, Sally, our daughters and son-in-law, our grandson, and the friends and community that have meant so much to us over the years.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your lives and for making these past 35 years so meaningful. While this chapter of my career is coming to a close, I’m excited for what comes next and for a little more time to enjoy life beyond the portfolio.
